About
My name is Danielle Roxborough
As a couples and relational therapist based in Orange County California, I bring a unique blend of personal insights and professional expertise to my practice. Growing up in Los Angeles—amidst the glitz and glamour of celebrity culture—shaped my understanding of relationships from an early age. Working alongside my father in the engagement ring & marriage industry, I witnessed the intricate dynamics of love, commitment, and the societal expectations that often accompany them. The LaLaLand social environment, left me feeling somewhat “othered” and ignited a profound desire for deeper connection, ultimately guiding me toward therapy.
Beginning my therapeutic journey at age 13, I sought to understand my own identity, self-esteem and foster self-love. This transformative journey not only showed me how to work towards self-acceptance and healing, but deepened my appreciation for the complexity of human connections. I believe that the foundation of healthy relationships lies in authentic self-love and compassion, which is why I am genuinely passionate about my work. I have found that healthy and active self-love translates to sustainable and more fulfilling relationships. Romantic relationships are a mirror, your best self can also bring out your partner's best self. This is also true for parent-child relationships, friendships, dating, and relationships that take management -(like the relationship with money, food, or technology).
In my practice, I employ a humanistic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approach, specializing in couples therapy and therapy for singles who are looking to improve their relationships. This includes including parenting issues, divorce, marital conflict, dating issues, and blended family issues. My goal is to help individuals and couples cultivate deeper, more meaningful relationships by breaking free from unhealthy patterns and fostering genuine connections - through the therapeutic process of healing, growth, and self-love.
With a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy (+ an extra year studying Art Therapy) and a background in philosophy and the business of marriage, I connect with clients through diverse communication styles, particularly benefiting those who are neurodiverse. I strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and understood, facilitating deeper exploration and healing.
As a genuine and authentic therapist, my commitment is to support you in building the relationships you desire. Together, we can embark on a journey that enhances your relational skills and transforms challenges into opportunities for growth and deeper connection. I look forward to partnering with you on this path toward lasting fulfillment.
